Treatment technology with proven effectiveness
Get yourself into shape!
It seems simple and yet... It’s by creating an environment conducive to healing that the Compeed® blister plasters offer superior healing capacities and faster pain relief than classic plasters (or dry plasters). But how does it work exactly?
The three details which change everything!
1. Compeed® enables moist wound healing. Because despite some outdated ideas, we heal better in a moist environment than in a dry environment! But be careful not to confuse a moist environment with soaking!
The moist environment created by the hydrocolloid material is an atmosphere where the humidity is exactly what’s needed for cellular functioning, whereas soaking is an atmosphere where the humidity is excessive which is detrimental to proper cellular functioning.
2. A Compeed® plaster correctly applied to the blister ensures protection and insulation from exterior elements like water, bacteria or new sources of friction likely to aggravate it.
When insulated in a protective cocoon, the cells develop and migrate more easily around the wound to close it. This process is made possible through the hydrocolloid particles which absorb the excess humidity and create the optimal level of humidity so that the wound can heal quickly.
3. Planned down to the last detail, the Compeed® plaster has bevelled edges for a second skin effect. So it can stay in place for several days if needed*.
The presence of hydrocolloid technology creates a cushioning effect which protects from rubbing and relieves pain instantly. This allows you to get back to a normal life as soon as it’s in place all while letting the skin breathe.
* Duration may vary depending on the individual
